My Review

Holy Cow!

Bruce Willis playing Die Hard crossed with Mission Impossible’s Tom Cruise to create the ultimate action-adventure hero in Thom Lange. He’s smart, savvy, knows how to handle his ah-hum, weapon, 🙂 and oh yeah, sexy-as-sin.

Betty Dawsey is done with having a lacklustre relationship with her fiancé’s shadow. Thom spent more attention on his boring job than he ever thought of spending on her. Once again she’d settled for Good-Enough instead of Mr. Perfect. When was she going to learn?

But then their house blows up and she’s kidnapped by not very nice people who insist her Thom is someone else entirely, and suddenly Betty’s world turns upside down.

This book was unputdownable!

There are so many funny, snarky comments in the midst of fast-paced action and steamy, hot scenes that I had a hard time choosing three for this post.

Best lines:

“Our sex life was not amazing.”

It takes him a moment to respond. “The average cohabitating couple has sex approximately fifty-one times a year. When you deduct time spent away due to work, we met the average.”

“We met the average? Huh,” I say. “How I aspire to always meet the average. It’s my life goal, really.”
