Biography

Joan Hall likes to create character-driven fiction with strong, determined female leads and enigmatic male characters. She has always enjoyed reading a good mystery or suspense story, so it’s only natural that’s her favorite writing genre.

When she’s not writing, Joan likes to take nature walks, observe the night skies, and explore old cemeteries. She also likes ghost walks and learning local folklore. Joan and her husband live in Texas with their three cats.

My Review

A stirring whodunit that will keep you guessing until the very end!

Stephanie Harris lost her innocence the day her father was involved in a murder-suicide. For years, her family and the citizens of their hometown, Driscoll Lake, assumed he was guilty. But when new evidence comes to light that sheds doubt on past events, Stephanie becomes determined to find out the truth.

Threatening notes, a dangerous encounter, and mysterious phone calls send Stephanie into the arms of the local sheriff, who is determined to keep her safe from an unknown killer.

The story is well-written with a cast of interesting characters. I give Unseen Motives 4 lovely kisses!
