It’s here!

Release Day for my first book, Tidal Falls.

It seemed as if the day would never come, and then it came too fast, 🙂

Some tips I’ve learned along the way:

1. Listen to advice, but in the end trust your instincts.
2. In my opinion it’s crucial to spend the money on a professionally done cover, and if you’re not tech savvy (hand waves in the air), it’s a good idea to pay someone to format for you, at least the first time out. I used Killion Group, and plan to return. The service is excellent, and the work is quality all the way.
3. Join as many critique groups as you can handle, their insights are invaluable.
4. Make friends, no really. The romance community is far-reaching, it can only help you down the line.
5. Learn Social Media. You absolutely need this in order to succeed in todays market.
6. Don’t forget the reason you began this journey, you love romance.
7. Don’t give up on your dreams, only you can put a limit your capabilities.
