Red, The Color of Love #SundayStills #Photography

It’s been a while since I’ve participated in Terri Webster Schrandt’s Sunday Stills Challenge, but with this month’s theme being RED how could I not? You can check out Terri’s post and participate here.

The photo above is one of my Japanese Maples. I can’t wait for spring to see its beautiful colors again!

And here’s a cute one of my grandson’s new kitten with her RED toy.

Red, and pink, are my favorite colors. How about you?

  1. I love red leaves and flowers, Jacquie. The Japanese Maples in the NW are beautiful and there are so many varieties. That kitten is delightful. What a picture. I couldn’t help smiling. โค โค โค

  2. That kitten! Love it. Wish our Japanese maple looked that nice. Its leaves just get grayish and fall off until the spring. The first year we had it, we thought it was dead.

  3. How exciting to see your post for Sunday Stills! I know you are one busy author, so I’m thrilled you could join in again! Red is such a wonderful color in nature–maple trees really show off red as well as roses, I think! I had a Japanese Maple in my front yard in Sacramento, next to the American Beauty roses and they traded off reds during their seasons. The maple trees of the PNW are on track to bloom in a few more (looonngg) weeks! That “pink” kitty with his little red toy is adorable!

  4. Jacquie, stunning vibrant capture of red – the maple tree is stunning and lovely to see some colour of nature and reminds us of seasons apart from winter which seems to cling on for too long! I like red too – but also blue – particularly of the sky and sea!

  5. The bright red of the leaves of the Japanese Maple is incredible. Nature is so colourful and vivid. A lovely post, Jacquie. I am also trying to participate in more of these fun challenges again. They brighten life.
