What Mother’s Day means to Me

Mother’s Day,

The very words bring forth strong emotion. For the young child who has just worked diligently at school to make the very best surprise ever, it brings pride.

For the teenager who feels misunderstood, guilt and anxiety.

To the new mother celebrating the life she’s brought into the world for the very first time, love.

The mother out for lunch with her daughter and grandson, happiness.

And for the mother who has to say good-bye for now, peace.

On this special day of the year, whatever time of life you’re in, remember your Mother with gratitude.

Happy Mother’s day.
