Running out on her wedding was the best decision ever!

A cheating fiancé sends Camden Harris fleeing to her grandparents’ home in Missouri. When her ex follows, determined to win her back, Camden makes a deal with neighbor Levi Walters: they’ll pretend to be in love and she’ll support his plan to buy her grandparents’ land.

The boy from her childhood has grown up into an impressive man. His charm, good looks and sweet gestures make it difficult for Camden to remember this is fake. And Levi’s kisses only confuse her more.

About the Author

Once upon a time, Kristina Knight spent her days running from car crash to fire to meetings with local police–no, she wasn’t a troublemaker, she was a journalist. Her career took her all over the United States, writing about everything from a serial killer’s capture to the National Finals Rodeo. Along the way, she found her very own Knight in Shining Cowboy Boots and an abiding love for romance novels. And just like the characters from her favorite books, she’s living her own happily ever after.

Kristina writes sassy contemporary romance novels; her books have appeared on Kindle Best Seller Lists. She loves hearing from readers, so drop her a line!

Kristina Knights’s Favorite Holiday-Themed Movies

Every year around Thanksgiving, I get the bug. No, not the flu bug. The holiday movie bug. Thanks to bebe, we have a towering stack of just about every Christmas movie you could imagine – from the original Miracle on 34th Street to The Polar Express. During the holiday season, Friday and Saturday nights become movie nights, sometimes the three of us gather in the living room with the big Christmas tree lit up and binge on holiday cartoons, sometimes we’ll disperse to different rooms to watch the movies we want to see.

Because I’ve been in heaven binge-watching a lot of these movies over the past couple of weeks, I thought I’d share three of my favorite holiday movies. Yes, there are more, but these three are at the top of my Special Holiday List.

  1. Rudolph. Also, Santa Clause is Coming to Town.

When I was little my mom would make hot cocoa and we would all sit down in the living room at 7 p.m. on a Wednesday night and magic would happen. Rudolph and Hermie or the Klaus family would bring their stop-motion amazingness to life. We watched it every year until my brother and I were too cool. And then my younger siblings got to the right age and we started watching again because…it’s magic. Watching those same movies now with my daughter is like having a glimpse into the past and future at the very same time because I can see myself in her and I can see her future children…and all of us are caught up in the holiday magic.

  1. The Holiday.

This is a new-ish holiday movie and the holiday parts are really lightly covered. Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslett switch houses because each of them wants to have a holiday that isn’t smothered in angst…really, neither wants to have a holiday at all, they just want to get away. And then, romance takes over. Kate’s character is swept up in reviving a much older man—in a friendly sort of way—while Cameron’s is just too much for a widower to leave alone at Christmas. I just love it! I just love how the characters, who are strong women to start with, become stronger over the course of their two week vacations, and how they develop a friendship…and how they open themselves to love again.

  1. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

I love that Chevy Chase can’t get his lights to work and I love that family he loves-but-doesn’t-love comes to visit and I really, really, really love it when they’re trying to catch the squirrel that’s terrorizing the tree. It’s just a fun glimpse at some of the absurdities of the season…all wrapped up in a sweet family story!

Okay, I shared mine, join the fun! What movies are must-watchers during the holiday season?
