A #Walk down Memory Lane- #SundayStills #Photography

This Week’s #Photo is all about sidewalks, paths and trails.

Terri Webster Schrandt hosts a fun photography challenge each week called Sunday Stills. Stop by and check it out here:

My first photo above, is of a crosswalk in front of one of my favorite buildings in Victoria. The vines and rock facade make it look timeless.

Next we have the sidewalk leading up to the iconic Empress Hotel.

This is the walk leading up to the Victoria War memorial for fallen soldiers from World War I and II, as well as the Korean War and peacekeeping missions.

A path along the lagoon. A favorite for bird lovers.

My grandson enjoying a light display

Path to the past

Visiting the giants

Making friends

Country roads

Walk overlooking Hatley Castle

Fisherman’s Wharf

A fun trip down memory lane 🙂

  1. Such lovely views of Victoria, Jacquie! The buildings and walkways look nothing like we see in California. Although Spokane has some beautiful brick buildings and architecture in its downtown. Those castle grounds and the fisherman’s wharf look gorgeous!

  2. Those look like some fun memories. Nice that you enjoyed the walk with your grandson. The Empress Hotel is a lovely place, and it looks especially fetching at night. Have a wonderful week, Jackquie.

      1. No, we just walked through it. It was gorgeous and, as I remember, quite expensive. That was during a rather poor period of my history. Lovely trip though. My first husband came from Seattle and so when we visited his mom, we often went on short trips.

        1. Unfortunately, no. They moved to the other side of the country three years ago so my daughter could continue her studies in marine biology. He’s my only grandchild- 13 already!
