After a particularly painful breakup (and subsequent suicide) with her fiancé, opera diva Olivia Shore accepts a promotional tour for Marchand watches to escape the guilt she feels over his death.

And then there are the nasty messages from the grave she’s been receiving.

NFL star, Thaddeus Owens isn’t sure how he got talked into a four-week tour promoting watches with a haughty opera singer, but he’s willing to make the best of an unpleasant situation even if the diva is giving him a cold shoulder.

Until a late-night encounter shows him there’s more to Olivia than meets the eye.

Will these opposites overcome their differences to catch a dangerous assailant before the curtain comes down on their attraction forever?

When Stars Collide is a standalone novel in SEP’s much-loved Chicago Stars series. While I enjoyed the story, and love Thad, I miss the angst from some of the earlier books in this series. Still, Thad and Olivia’s repartee is often humorous and has just the right amount of magnetism to make readers root for them.

A fun summer read worthy of five glowing stars!

  5. Great review, Jacquie. I think the characters are interesting with one being an opera singer and the other being a quarterback! I like stories where you have two people from really different backgrounds.
