Romances are my favorite reading choice, and these authors know how to create HEAs to warm the heart!

I picked up my first Sandra Cox western a couple of months ago and have been steadily working my way through her backlist ever since. She writes pulse-pounding action against memorable settings and compelling characters.

Bounty hunter Gwen Slade always gets her man. Until she meets charming outlaw Jordie Kidd.

Raised by her bounty hunter father, Gwen Slade uses her shotgun, Betsy, to track criminals and turn them in Dead or Alive- mostly alive- for the bounty she needs to care for her young brother and friend, Chen. Her dream is to buy a ranch in Montana and raise Palominos one day, but first she needs to go after the most dangerous gang she’s ever faced.

Outlaw Jordie Kidd happens across a homestead where a young boy and his caregiver are under attack. He’s forced to kill the man, then ends up almost shot himself when the famous bounty hunter Gwen Slade rolls into the yard with steam coming from her ears. Once she learns the truth, Gwen calms down and allows him to go on his way as reward for saving her brother, but he can’t forget the beautiful, spirited woman. After another unexpected rescue, he decides she needs a keeper and teams up to protect her from the outlaws looking to end her life.

Who in their right mind would get aroused by a woman pulling a gun on him? Especially one who knew how to use it. But there ya go. The moment she pulled Betsy out of her scabbard and aimed it at his heart, said heart flew right out of his body and landed at her feet.

Cox, Sandra. GWEN SLADE, BOUNTY HUNTER (p. 26). Kindle Edition.

Gwen doesn’t need help, especially from a wanted man with a captivating smile and kind eyes, but Jordie won’t take no for an answer. If she can capture the Rondo brothers, she can hang up her gun and give her brother a better home. But first, she must survive and try not to fall in love along the way.

Once I pick up a Sandra Cox book, it’s impossible to set it down. All are five star reads!

Despite Romy Chandler hosting a romantic meet-and-greet at her restaurant, she’s all business. When her sommelier quits without any noticeβ€”to work for the competition, no lessβ€”she goes into mega-mogul-mode. The last thing on her mind is finding a man. She’s looking for someone who knows his way around a Bordeaux, not the boudoir.

A series of misunderstandings give this short story a fun twist on romance.

After restaurant owner, Romy Chandler suddenly loses her sommelier only hours before an important reservation and Valentine Day weekend, she’s angry and frustrated but doesn’t have time to mope (or get drunk)- she needs a new wine expert, and she needs him now. Two disastrous employee interviews later, she’s ready to throw in the towel, but then handsome Rick, third on her list, shows up and her luck changes- or so she thinks.

Rick Santucci is ready to take his family’s vineyard to the net level by locking in a lucrative deal with an up-and-coming restaurant, but when he arrives, he’s confused by the almost brisk reception he receives= nothing like the business meeting he’d expected. On the upside, a beautiful server takes his eye, and he decides all is not lost. Until he discovers she’s the boss and thinks he is a fraud.

This was such a fun afternoon read- highly recommended!

So, what’s your favorite genre? Do these books sound good to you?
