This week’s Sunday Stills Challenge is all about taking a trip down memory lane. I hope you enjoy my journey.

We took a summer vacation back in 2012 to the province that was to become our home. This is a mini golf course we checked out. Our grandson- the showman 🙂
The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.
Billy Graham

Is it any wonder we wanted to move? This is a normal winter in North-Western Alberta, Canada. Three feet of snow and more to come.

Our sweet Annie as a pup. We’d had her in the family for a year at this point and she was still skinny as a rail. It took a long time to get her to full health and to earn her trust.

My youngest brother on his wedding day. Michael is twelve years younger than me. I tended to treat him as my son for most of his life- poor kid! lol

Momma and her baby boy. My daughter and grandson ❤

Quadding fun in the gravel pits.

This 45 foot fifth wheel is the fulfillment of a dream. After my dad passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack at 57 years old, hubby and I made a concerted effort to simplify our lives. A large part of that was to downsize our home and erase our debt-load. This trailer became our retirement abode and we love it!

All hooked up and ready to begin our next journey in life.

This is what it’s all about- family ❤
hi – your retirement abode is awesome and enjoyed your memory post – your younger brother on his wedding day had that very subtle and quiet joy in his face. loved it

Such amazing memories of your family and pets, Jacquie! Those big event days all provide wonderful memories and recalling them almost puts you right back there in those moments. You made the right move to live FT in your RV. I managed to visit a friend who lived in hers and it was huge inside. Being able to travel with it and park is really the best way to travel. I’m so glad you took a few minutes to share your sweet memories with Sunday Stills today. Have a great week!

Thank you, Terri. It was a big decision, especially since we had my mom living in a suite in our basement, so selling meant leaving her without a home. It worked out though, she decided to come with us! We bought her a trailer of her own and now she resides next door 🙂

What lovely memories for you, Jacquie. I have to say, Sweet Annie stole my heart. What a gorgeous dog. Mine also took the Rainbow Bridge. I’m sure all of them are playing!
