#OneLineSunday by #RSsos Lines all about the topic PLEAD for a great start to the week.
If Kaitlin or any of the others suggested lunch, I would plead a previous commitment.
She didn’t ask when they could be together again, didn’t plead for him to stay with her, although all that and more screamed inside her head.
What is your real name? he demanded of the limp woman in his arms.
“Please,” the sincerity in his voice surprised her. “I’m taking a big risk talking to you right now.”
She hated the position she’d put Gary in, breathed in deep, lifted one finger at a time from the death grip on the cell. Michelle could at least plead client confidentiality.
She avoided Rafe’s pleading gaze and entered the shower room. Her bare feet hit the cold tile, but…

#OneLineSunday by #RSsos Lines all about the topic ASK for a great start to the week.
Still, I couldn’t help feel somewhat foolish. I mean, I was here to ask if anyone had ever reported seeing ghosts on the property.
So many questions I longed to ask, but I doubted the Constable would even know where to begin.
“I was young and in love, and when you asked me to promise to keep our relationship a secret, I wasn’t about to argue or do anything to jeopardize our future.”
“Rude?” She lowered her voice to a whisper. “You’re the one who asked me to check out that gross excuse for a human being and for what? You think I’m stupid? I’m not doing him.”
This part of his job was never easy, but crucial time had elapsed, time without an arrest. Now…

A thrilling end to Thistledown, a faery magic story by Teagan Geneviene! A #MustRead
Saturday, April 21, 2018
Welcome back to the faery land of Thistledown… but first the real world.
The Real World
If I were writing a novel, there are many things I would circle back to in this tale, loose ends to tie up, hints to conclude, Faery Namers to mention again. I’ve often thought this was a story I should never have begun. At an extremely challenging time in my life Thistledown does not take me to a world where I would escape. Rather, it ties me to the darkness of the current time and place. It seems like an odd thing to say about a tale of faeries, doesn’t it?
That said, it may not be done in the best “literary” way, or the best “technical” way, but I’m bringing this story to a close. I’m truly grateful to everyone who has followed this story. The joy I take…

A well-deserved stellar review for Sally Cronin’s short story collection, What’s in A Name by reviewer Amy M. Reade
Back in May of 2017, I published an interview with Sally Cronin. You can read it here if you’d like to refresh your memory. In that interview she talked about her new book, What’s in a Name?
I read the book recently (I need to get on Amazon and post my review) and I’d like to share my thoughts with you. And since this post it entitled “Book Recommendation,” I’m sure you have a pretty good idea of my thoughts.
What’s in a Name? is a collection of short stories, all written by Sally. She had the genius idea of writing two stories for each letter of the alphabet: the name of the story would be the first name of the male or female main character. Hence, Sally has penned the stories “Anne” and “Alexander,” “Grace” and “George,” and “Jane” and “Jack.” I’m sure you get the picture.
