  1. Great question! I think it matters somewhat because we want what we are reading to feel real in order to believe it really could happen. But that said, I don’t find myself questioning it much, but I have seen it in reviews.

    1. Agreed. I think sometimes we overthink our writing. As long as the words flow and the story works, most readers aren’t going to dissect every line.
