A Raw and Emotional Roller Coaster Romance!

How can you not be drawn in by those mesmerizing eyes? Tristan (Grim) has been in and out of foster homes for most of his young life and somewhere along the way he shut down inside. Nothing could hurt him because he wouldn’t let it.
Then he had a chance encounter with a twelve year old pickpocket named Emma Jane (Tricks) and nothing would ever be the same.
Five years later Grim is executioner for the gang who took him in, and is as content as it’s possible to be we death hovering around every corner. Or he would be, if he could just find the girl who disappeared that night so long ago.
Emma Jane spent the last five years trying to stay alive, also. Her best friend’s brother offers them a refuge that turns into a prison when they learn he runs a gang of miscreants. He forces Tricks to steal in order to pay for their keep- unless she’d like to compensate him in another way.
The war between the gangs heats up and Grim and Tricks are caught in the middle of a deadly feud that will test them in ways they couldn’t have foreseen.
This book is enlightening to anyone who has never known that kind of lifestyle. Grim and Tricks have to make tough decisions every day just to stay alive. Then they learn they belong to opposing gangs and their love becomes that much more impossible.
