Do you ever wish you could take back your words? Janice and Dale Hart sat around the dinner table laughing at silly “I wouldn’t be surprised” jokes that included UFOs, Bigfoot, hand-delivered food, and serial killers. A week later, an innocent plate of food is left on Dale’s truck in the middle of the night. That’s only the beginning, and the presents go from harmless to life-threatening. Will the Harts find help in time to survive an evil bearer of “gifts”? Find out in this paranormal thriller.

Finally, being surrounded by towering pines, oaks, and cedars, her creativity was nurtured until it bloomed. My Review
This short story packs a punch!
Janice and Dale live in their dream home on a piece of land deep in the woods. They enjoy the privacy, or at least they did, until strange things begin to happen. A plate of food left without a note, power outages, a strange hole in the yard, all are eerie and unexplainable.
When the danger escalates, Janice and Dale must fight an frightening assailant before he kills them, and receive help from an unexpected source.
This is a quick read- possibly because my fingers flew over the pages- but contains all the elements for a good thriller. The author does a superb job building suspense and the touch of paranormal adds just the right amount of mystique to turn this into a must-read!

Thank you, Jacquie for making my day:) I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I have to be thankful someone left us bread in the middle of the night. It got me wondering…lol.

I planned on reading this one last night, but it was the finale of the Perry Mason reboot, and then I fell asleep. I’m SO looking forward to it, though.

Denise and Jacquie, I LOVE the Perry Mason reboot. Produced by Robert Downey Jr. and his wife. Stars Matthew Rhys. It’s a totally fresh take on who Perry Mason is. And who the supporting cast are. I really loved it.

Great review, Jacquie. I try pacing myself when I’m reading a great story – to prolong the excitement – but my fingers fly over the pages too.
